How do I begin. I’m not sure. In hindsight, since my last post (a year ago) the year was a real bummer. I had two surgeries totaling 10 hours in the operating room trying to close a wound but to no avail. Last year also saw the passing of my mother-in-law Jean. Needless to say, it was most trying for my wife Jayne who had to handle these events along with the postsurgical complications experienced by her sister Cathy, who recently had brain surgery at Johns Hopkins. Yes my friends, 2013 was definitely a year to hopefully be forgotten.
Obviously, there were no blog posts, there was seldom a Facebook blurb or anything of that sort. I really have been in rebuilding mode. It seems that every time I go to write a blog post I’m in some sort of game of catch up. Not so for the year 2014!
My wound (Sorry, but these images are graphic) the doctor said would never heal, that couldn’t be closed surgically, is almost, almost HEALED! That’s right sports fans! It has filled in and almost closed over. How did we do it? Diet! Nutrition and improving the way I eat. Most importantly? My wife started me on a strict juicing regimen. Green juice. Green juice once a day has left my doctor baffled. Our last visit literally had him chuckling to himself in amazement! Your body needs the right stuff to function properly. Illness, internal or external, all depends on what you put in your gut for energy and nutrition. There is no other way around it.
Finally, now that I am on the winning side of this battle I can focus on some of the things that I’ve been wanting to do including starting the blog again I may also get my podcast off the ground, who knows. I want to do a number of creative things now that I feel much better. Same old song and dance? Not this time I’ve got pictures to prove it!
